The most wonderful time of the year....

Turkey On FIRE!

I can't believe it's Christmas already. The Family LippyThe Family Lippy Where has the year gone? Thanksgiving was wonderful. As is usual in my family, we had a smoked turkey, fried turkey, I made the Bacon Brussels Sprout Casserole, Brussels Sprouts Casserole Close upBrussels Sprouts Casserole Close up cranberry sauce, green beans, sweet potatoes, pumpkin pie... we had a ton of goodies and spent time together as a family around the table. My dad always likes for every one to sit around down just as the food is done and then have each person share what they are thankful for. My mother on the other hand (and I agree with her) wants to eat while the food while it's still HOT! hahaha the battle rages on. My little sister is getting married this weekend so her fiance was at the table with us along with my oldest sister and my nephew and the love of my life Chelsee of course. It was a wonderful day with family. I hope you all have had a great holiday season so far, and that it only gets better from here. Christmas time is the perfect time to remember the important things in our lives.

WHAT!), but one in particular caught my eye. LAMB BACON! woohoo! I had to get some. Caramelized Brussels SproutsCaramelized Brussels Sprouts I love bacon, I love lamb, I figured I needed to give it a go. One of my mother's favorites for Thanksgiving is Brussels Sprouts Casserole, so I adapted her recipe to create this delicious treat for you guys. If the Lamb Bacon freaks you out.... shame on you... j/k thats cool, just use Pork Bacon instead.
