Every lady loves when her man can cook for her. This dish is a win-win situation. GUYS- You can do this... relax... its easy... she's gonna love it! Start in the frozen food aisle of the grocery store. Grab the frozen puff pastry sheets, then some Sliced Strawberries fresh strawberries, heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar and some lavender leaves (you can find them with all of the dried herbs.) Pre-heat the oven to 375.
Puffs Let the puff pastry sheet thaw to room temp (about 20 minutes) cut the sheet into 3 inch squares and place on a non-stick sheet tray, sprinkle with some regular sugar (granulated sugar) and pop it into the oven for 10 minutes (or until golden and puffy)
Whipped Cream Add the cream and some powdered sugar to a big bowl and whisk until it looks and feels like cool whip.
Lavender Whipped Cream Add a tablespoon of the lavender leaves and gently stir them in. Slice the strawberries. As soon as the puffs are done, pull them out of the oven and let them cool for just a bit. Grab a big white plate and scoop a little dollop of cream in the center.
Layered Strawberries Place 1 square of puff pastry on top (this is so the dessert doesn't slide all over the place) add another dollop of cream over the puff, then layer the sliced strawberries on top, add another puff and then another layer of strawberries, one more dollop of lavender cream and place the last puff on top. Garnish with a bit of powdered sugar and a pinch of the lavender leaves, then serve it to your luck valentine. you can also get creative with how you want to plate it up.
Puffs, Strawberries and Lavender Cream small If your chick likes a more delicate presentation try just one layer... Good luck guys... go for it!
